DR. ELIZABETH MCQUAID
DIRECTOR OF SPECIAL SERVICES

As a West Milford High School graduate and local resident, it is a great honor to serve in the West Milford School District as your Director of Special Services. I have been committed to the field of special education since my career’s inception, first as an occupational therapist, and now as an administrator. I have confidence that my past special education expertise and administrative experiences will prove beneficial to this school community. As a leader I wholeheartedly love collaboration and being a part of a network of people that are compassionate, dedicated, creative, talented, and student focused. Further, I believe that incredible benefits can be achieved by partnering with families in the education of their children. As we join together to ensure the success of our students, I wish everyone a happy and healthy school year.

DR. JONATHAN HESNEY
SUPERVISOR OF SPECIAL SERVICES

It is my distinct pleasure to be joining the West Milford community as the new Supervisor of Special Services.  In a short time I have come to learn so many wonderful things about this beautiful township.  Throughout the past ten years I worked in the Fair Lawn School district as a School Psychologist.  While in Fair Lawn, I compiled a myriad of experiences case managing the in-district program for children with Autism and providing mental health support for emotionally and behaviorally challenged students. While gaining my work experiences I pursued my Psychological Doctorate at Fairleigh Dickinson University.  I focused my education on learning how to support and provide behavioral support for parents, staff and students. I firmly believe that a partnership between parents and the school system is necessary to create the best and least restrictive environment for students.  I look forward to collaborating with parents throughout the community to provide educational success for all students, especially those with special needs.
