Let's Talk Turkey!

Teachers worked in cooperative groups on a variety of activities.  After looking at a number of books about turkeys, teachers used Inspiration as a brainstorming tool to think of ways a turkey could escape being eaten on Thanksgiving.  They chose their favorite idea and wrote a multimedia book using PowerPoint.  They researched "turkey trivia" on the Internet, then wrote five facts to put on the five feathers of the construction paper turkey they created.  Then they built an Oreo turkey and corral.  Finally teachers determined the area and perimeter of the corral.
