WORKERS’ COMPENSATION
Workers’ compensation laws provide lost wages and medical expenses to an employee who has an injury as a result of an on-the-job accident, injury, or occupational disease. Workers’ compensation is designed to protect employees and their dependents against the hardships from injury or death arising from the work environment. All permanent and temporary employees of the West Milford Board of Education are covered by workers’ compensation insurance. (See Regulation 4144.3R.)
