DEMONSTRATIONS AND STRIKES: STUDENT DISORDERS

It is the purpose of the Board, acting within the intent and letter of the laws and Constitution of the State, to provide instruction for students at public expense. Any act by any person or persons to interfere with or to thwart that purpose is unlawful. Therefore, actions by a student or students to interfere materially or substantially with the operation of the school--by defacing or destroying school property, by rioting, break-ins, sit-ins, lie-ins, smash-ins, and picketing to force students not to cross picket lines--are illegal. Students who engage in such activities will be punished to the fullest extent of the law.
