EMPLOYMENT CERTIFICATES: WORKING PAPERS
Any child between the ages of fourteen and eighteen may be legally employed in New Jersey provided he/she has working papers. These working papers are issued by the High School Guidance Office during normal school hours and designated days and hours in the summer. By law, these must be secured before the student starts working.
