SECTION: INSTRUCTION
ASSIGNMENT OF TEACHERS AND CLASSES
Students will be placed at the grade level to which they are best adjusted academically, socially and emotionally.
Principals shall determine the grade placements of students.
Students with prior schooling outside of the district will normally be placed in the grade level they have reached elsewhere. However, demotions and promotions may be made in certain cases where there is evidence to substantiate such action.
All non-promotions and accelerations shall be approved by the principal after consultation with the Superintendent of Schools.
Appeals may be made through the Office of the Superintendent of Schools; then to the Board of Education.
