FIELD CHECKS

Adequate records shall be maintained by the clerk-of-the-works and the architect, of all new construction as an aid to administration and to serve as a history for maintenance purposes. Standard forms, reports and all forms of correspondence shall be utilized to achieve this purpose.

The following list of records or reports shall be provided as required by contract requirements and will be maintained for information and record:

                                            1. Inspectors’ daily report (manpower, weather, program)

                                            2. Architect's periodic report

                                            3. Concrete tests

                                            4. Compaction tests

                                            5. Soil analysis reports

                                            6. Gradation reports (soil, sand, sub-base, and asphalt)

                                            7. Mortar test reports

                                            8. Certified mill reports for steel

                                           9. Certified tile reports

10. All tests, reports on materials

11. Load tests (piling, etc.)

12. Shop drawings and brochures

13. Contractor and subcontractor approval (federal)

The following will be maintained on file for record as required by regulations:

1. State approved drawings and specifications

2. Administrative correspondence

3. Bonds and certificates of insurance

4. Contracts and change orders

5. "As Built" plans and record and information books

6. Guarantees and warranties

7. All other required legal papers
