SECTION: BYLAWS OF THE BOARD
FILLING VACANCIES
A vacancy on the Board of Education shall be filled by appointment of an eligible citizen by action of the remaining members of the Board within a sixty-five day period. If the Board fails to fill the vacancy in the 65-day period the County Superintendent will do so. The procedure to be followed is prescribed in l8A:l2-l5.
The Board, will publicly announce and/or advertise any vacant position.
Interested candidates will submit letters of application and resumes to the Business Administrator/Board Secretary. The Board shall review credentials, determine a process to follow, and then fill the vacant seat within the 65-day period.
