EVALUATION PLAN

July 1, 2004 - June 30, 2007

In order to insure the equitable implementation of the technology plan, a permanent district technology committee will be maintained for the purposes of monitoring the progress of the plan, establish budgetary priorities, develop and revise the plan, and develop acceptable use polices, etc. The committee will also provide the Superintendent of schools with an annual progress report.

TECHNOLOGY IMPLEMENTATION AND MAINTENANCE

The implementation of the district instructional and administrative network will be monitored during the next several years using the New Jersey State Report Card as the assessment tool. This plan revision contains tables and charts for the implementation of computer hardware and software, peripherals, and networking equipment, etc. The plan also has a clear maintenance strategy as well as a system to replace obsolete equipment. The Administrative Council and Technology Planning Committee intend to submit a report to the Superintendent of Schools on an annual basis concerning the progress of the implementation plan.

THREE YEAR ACTIVITIES PLAN

The charts developed for the goals and objectives for the next three years contain a listing of the major activities, person(s) responsible, time-lines, and indicators of success. There are also NJ Core Curriculum Content Standards that will assist the district in meeting compliance. Additionally, "No Child Left Behind" contains a series of guidelines with which the district will need to conform . The Administrative Council and the Technology Planning Committee will perform an on-going evaluation of the Three Year Activities Plan to insure that all benchmarks are achieved. The results of their on-going evaluation will be included in the annual report to the Superintendent.

PLANNED STAFF DEVELOPMENT OPPORTUNITIES

Our school district has been actively involved in the NJ Elite Program. As a result of our involvement our district was able to capitalize on the Taking A Good Look At Instructional Technology (T.A.G.L.I.T.) assessment tool. Each of our schools fully participated in T.A.G.L.I.T. Many of the planned professional development activities incorporated in this plan were identified through that survey tool. We will continue to use the results of T.A.G.L.I.T. during the term of this revision as a guideline for our success. As we implement our technology plan and continue to provide high quality, on-going staff development opportunities for our professional staff we would like to use T.A.G.L.I.T or similar survey tool to assess our progress.
