The Board of Education for West Milford Public Schools welcomes residents of the Township to participate in the education process of students by becoming board members. There are many resources that can help you through the process.
If you wish to fill vacancies in the upcoming election for a full term of three years. If you are interested in running for a vacant seat, you must file a nominating petition with the school board to get their name on the ballot. The deadline to submit the nominating petition is usually about six weeks before the election. Prospective school board candidates can obtain a "School Board Candidate Kit" online at www.njsba.org or at the Office of the Board Secretary, located in the Administration Building, 46 Highlander Drive, between the hours of 8:30 p.m. and 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday.
