The West Milford Community School has been in existence since the 1970’s. At its inception, the mission of the school was to provide educational and career-oriented courses, in the evening, to the adult population. It has since grown into a multifaceted, self supporting extension of the West Milford Board of Education serving the needs of the community from preschoolers to senior citizens.
Programs under the umbrella of the West Milford Community School include adult education courses, a school age child care program (SACC), a growing summer enrichment program, SAT prep courses, facilitation of high school and middle school clubs and Fastbreak Basketball camp.

The West Milford Community School is proud to provide exciting opportunities for life long learning to residents of West Milford and surrounding communities through our adult classes. We believe that learning does not end with a diploma. Many people learn to appreciate learning for learning’s sake as they mature. To that end, we offer over 100 classes, covering a wide variety of interests. Explore the computer so it doesn’t intimidate you, learn to play the guitar, paint, explore the world of cooking, cake decorating, learn a foreign language, start that exercise routine, meet new people playing volleyball, get recertified in CPR and first aid! In short, something for everyone! Classes are available evenings and Saturdays. You can continue to register by mail or in person.
Our brochure includes classes for children such as painting, babysitting safety classes and exercise.
