Grant Incentives In an effort to pursue alternative sources of revenue, the Board of Education and the administration have developed a program which provides incentives for successful grants for pre-approved projects. The Board invites all staff and members of the public to submit grant proposals to support district programs. These projects include, but are not limited to, instructional programs, facility projects, security, technology, energy conservation, and character education. Incentive payments are limited to one award per grant and payments for successful grants are as follows:
| Amount of Grant |
Award |
| Less than $3,000 |
$ 250 |
| $3,000 to $9,999 |
$ 500 |
| More than $10,000 |
$1,000 |
All projects must be approved at the department and/or school level, and then by a central office administrator, prior to submission. The individual(s) submitting the grant will be responsible for any and all assessments and reporting of the grant. The Board encourages members of the staff and public to urge corporations to contribute to district programs. To find and apply for federal government grants, go to: www.grants.gov The incentive program excludes entitlement grants, e.g., NCLB, IDEA, non-public, and Education Foundation grants. Donations are not eligible for the incentive.
