  • In 1992, Morrill Worcester, owner of Worcester Wreath Company, found himself with an abundance of wreaths. Remembering how moved he was when he visited Arlington Cemetery as a young boy, he decided to donate the wreaths there.
  • In 2006, those donations expanded nationwide.
  • In 2007, Wreaths Across America was formed to assist in the funding, distribution and laying of wreaths in Veterans’ cemeteries across the nation.
  • The mission of Wreaths Across America is to Remember our veterans, Honor their lives, and Teach of their sacrifices.
  • Last year, Evan LeMay and Mathew Hoffman, with the support of the school and community, raised over $6,000 to place wreaths in cemeteries in Sparta, NJ.
  • This year, they are bringing Wreaths Across America to 3 cemeteries in West Milford and need almost 700 wreaths. IF they receive more than the 700 in wreath donations, the overflow will be sent to Cheltenham Veterans Cemetery in Maryland which has 28,000 veterans’ graves.
  • Volunteers to help lay wreaths are also needed. It’s a great family experience and perfect for all ages. It’s also a way to obtain volunteer hours!
