Welcome to West Milford High School, home of the Highlanders! We are a New Jersey School of Character dedicated to fostering a close-knit community where students, families, and staff collaborate to create a 21st-century learning environment. We are committed to helping every student reach their full potential.

Our administrators, teachers, and staff work with care and passion to prepare students for an increasingly competitive world. We offer a wide range of academic opportunities, including a variety of honors-level courses, dual enrollment courses and 25 Advanced Placement (AP) courses. Students can also deepen their learning through a comprehensive selection of electives in the applied arts, fine arts, and core academic subjects, allowing them to follow their passions.

The dedication of our faculty and staff is clear. Many hold advanced degrees and volunteer countless hours advising over 40 clubs and activities and coaching 30 varsity sports. These opportunities allow the majority of our students to get involved, giving them a chance to participate in community service, competition, and creative expression.

We take immense pride in our renowned Highlander Marching Band, which has earned a spot in the prestigious New York City St. Patrick’s Day Parade, and our popular theater group, which performs to sold-out crowds every year.

At West Milford High School, we have high expectations for our students and encourage them to expand their horizons. We believe in a collaborative community of parents, teachers, and students working together to make the high school experience rich and rewarding for everyone.
