Are You Fee Waiver Eligible?
Collegeboard (who runs the SAT, PSAT, & AP programs) and ACT make fee waivers available to eligible 11th and 12th grade students.
If eligible, these fee waivers provide the following:
For SAT
- covers 100% of the registration fees for a single test date.
- Student can use up to TWO waivers for the SAT and up to TWO waivers for the SAT Subject Tests per year.
- In addition to the four free score reports that every student gets to send to colleges, students using a fee waiver get an additional four free score report. This gives a student the ability to send scores to 8 colleges for no cost.
For ACT
- Covers 100% of the registration fees for a single test date
- Students can use up to TWO waivers for the ACT per year
For AP
- Fee reduction for the cost of each exam. The actual fee reduced cost for this year's exam (2014) has yet to be determined by Collegeboard. AP Test Service - our registration company - will advise student's eligible for a fee reduction of the cost per exam once it is established.
Here are the links to the specific eligibility requirements for fee waivers
Students who believe they are eligible for a fee waiver need to speak with their counselor or me BEFORE REGISTERING for the SAT,ACT, or AP exams. Students who are eligible will be given a form with a code to use when registering for the specific test.
