On October 14th, Nicole Petrosillo was honored by the West Milford Board of Education at a meeting held at Highlander Academy, celebrating her prestigious recognition as the Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) National High School Teacher of the Year for 2025. This award recognizes outstanding high school educators who have demonstrated exceptional dedication to teaching American history, citizenship, and patriotism.
During the ceremony, Nicole delivered a heartfelt and selfless address to the board, expressing deep gratitude toward West Milford High School, her fellow educators, and the administration. Adding a special touch to the evening, Nicole’s daughter, Marina Petrosillo, who serves as the Board of Education’s student representative, proudly joined her mother during this milestone moment, underscoring the family’s shared dedication to education and community service.
