Business (New for the 2026-2027 School Year)

Program Overview

Our Business Pathway empowers students to thrive in today’s dynamic world of business by blending rigorous academics with hands-on, real-world experiences. Aligned with the New Jersey Department of Education (NJDOE)’s standards for the Business Management & Administration career cluster, this pathway invites learners to explore entrepreneurship, management, marketing, finance, and administrative systems—while building practical, career-ready skills.

What Students Will Do

  • Engage in foundational business concepts: what makes businesses work, how decisions are made, management of resources, marketing fundamentals, accounting basics, and financial literacy.

  • Develop technical and professional skills: use business software, analyze data, conduct market research, plan and manage projects, understand human resource and operations functions.

  • Work on project-based, real-world assignments: develop business plans, simulate company operations, create marketing campaigns, analyze case studies, and present findings.

  • Earn industry-valued credentials, receive opportunities for dual credit, and participate in work-based learning (such as internships, job shadows, cooperative education) to bridge school and the workplace.

  • Build essential career and life skills: communication, collaboration, critical thinking, ethical decision-making, adaptability, and leadership—skills that transfer across roles and industries.
